We understand that if we don’t take care of the ocean, it won’t take care of us. BC’s industry is one of the most highly regulated salmon farming jurisdictions in the world. Each farm must meet extensive siting, fish health, water and ocean bottom quality, and biosecurity standards on a day-to-day basis. We believe that a well-regulated industry relieves pressure on wild fish stocks while having minimal impact on the nature. Ongoing scientific research helps us develop better practices that ensure salmon farming is low risk to the environment.
